Colorado Retail Systems was founded in 1974 by Bennie Farmer.  Bennie was a service tech for the Sweda-Monroe Company.

 

When Sweda-Monroe closed their Pueblo office, Bennie saw this as an opportunity to open his own cash register company, Pueblo Office Equipment.  Bennie's Daughter Debbie, Debbie's husband Pat Channel and Bennie's son Dan all came to work with Bennie in 1980.

 

 

On November 1, 1994, Debbie and Pat bought the business from Bennie, incorporated and changed the name to the current Colorado Retail Systems, Inc.

 

Having started as a cash register company, we are still a main supplier of cash registers for the retailers in Southern Colorado.  Our main focus is Point-of-Sale systems for grocery, general retail and hospitality markets.  We also sell scales of all different types, capacities and sizes.  We are of course certified by the Colorado Department of Weights and Measures to install and place in service the scales we sell, and do provide calibration services to any one needing certified scales.  We also sell and service Time Clocks.  We sell supplies for all different types of retail hardware, including paper rolls, ink rollers and ribbons, and labels for meat and deli scales.

 

Another very large, and growing service we provide is payment processing through Mercury Payment Systems.  Credit, Debit, Checks and EBT payment processing is available from Mercury as well as FREE gift card processing.

INTEREST FREE financing is available in house.  In most cases, low monthly or even seasonal payments are setup, and we are very lenient if a payment is missed, just call.  We need you to be successful so you can help us be successful.
